Theodorus de Bry ( – ) was an engraver, goldsmith and editor who traveled around Europe, starting from the city of Liège (where he was born and grew up), then to Strasbourg, Antwerp, London and Frankfurt, i.e. a true European of his time, a bit like Erasmus. 
De Bry is most famous for his engravings of European voyages to the Americas (and Africa and Asia), he never actually traveled across the Atlantic.
